This is called a cinematic background. When the subjet is in focus but you can see the office in the background.
This technique is done by lighting the subject and the background evenly make the subject POP out.
It's the new age headshots. More commonly you'll see a photoshopped background and the subject in the foreground just due to the complicity of the shot.
